- New PCI Standards Finalized. The final version of PCI version 2.0 has just been released. It takes effect Jan. 1, but impacted entities have until Dec. 31, 2011, to become fully compliant;
- A new report from FinCEN finds that ID theft is on the rise, and it's not cyberattacks that are compromising most consumers -- it's family and friends; and
- Payments without card numbers? Next month, NACHA expects to launch Secure Vault -- an online payments platform that takes credit and debit out of the transaction;
